• Comply with local, state, and federal regulations; report all illegal activity, including robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations, guidelines, procedures, and programs per company and legal requirements; identify unsafe conditions and notify store management.
• Understand and perform ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Follow company guidelines on computerized inventory management, control, and ordering of all medications, devices, supplements, and supplies.
• Maintain departmental standards, including clean and organized workstations and customer waiting areas.
• Count, measure, and prepare specified product using company best practices.
• Complete billing procedures to assure best value for the customer and the company.
• Answer phone and triage calls, providing appropriate inquiries and service.
• Adhere to guidelines for accepting vendor coupons, cash shortages limits, and company shrink guidelines.
• Operate the cash register following all cashier handling policies to prevent loss, including tendering electronic fund transactions, cash, and checks.
• Provide a stellar customer experience while accurately and efficiently completing all steps of reception, data entry, adjudication, and product dispensing.
• Assist the pharmacist in all responsibilities except those that require professional judgement.
• Understand and uphold HIPAA regulations and company policies.
• Support company health and wellness initiatives.
• Put away legend orders, including Central Fill deliveries.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Ability to handle highly confidential information.
• Meets minimum state requirements to perform job functions.

Desired

• Any previous comparable experience.
• Equivalent experience as a pharmacy clerk.
• EPRN familiarity.
