FECON, LLC is a vegetation management equipment manufacturer located in Lebanon, Ohio near Kings Island Amusement Park. Responsible for the supervision and execution of our complete Quality Management System while using and implementing continuous improvement and lean processes. Be the champion of quality products and processes in all aspects of the company and its culture. Continuously work with personnel to advocate and ensure that standard procedures, daily practices, and working conditions meet company expectations in terms of stellar quality.
SupervisoryResponsibilities
- Helps hire and train Quality Dept. employees.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Assists in the preparation of the Quality Department’s annual budget.
- Develop and implement quality assurance / control processes to stop defects (Built in Quality)
- Establish processes to gather and use quality data to drive continuous improvement.
- Apply quality analysis tools for problem-solving and process improvement.
- Conducts root cause analysis and facilitates the implementation of solutions.
- Coach all employees on root cause corrective action methodology and error proofing practices.
- Champions internal and external corrective action processes.
- Works closely with engineering, service, purchasing, planning, and production to help achieve the highest total quality possible for products and services.
- Develop KPIs and lead necessary problem-solving activities.
- Lead the development, creation, revision and distribution of quality checklists / procedures.
- Oversee welder certifications and tool calibration records.
- Act as company representative and responsible for the ISO 9001 Management System.
- Overall responsibility of incoming, in process, and final inspection for all product lines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
- Familiar with PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP’s, Internal Audits, and Quality Controls
- Problem solving skills using the A3 Process including 5 Whys, Fishbone Analysis, Etc.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills are a must.
- Close attention to detail.
- Ability to read engineering blueprints.
- Works as a self-starter with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor Degree in Quality, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing / working closely with quality control and continuous improvement programs.
- Experience in product inspection.
- Experience working with either ISO or Six-Sigma.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Visual acuity to inspect products and machinery.
