Position OverviewWe are looking for a highly experienced and results-oriented Manufacturing Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of our production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing operations, ensuring safety and quality compliance, and leading a high-performing team to achieve production and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all plant operations, including Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Maintenance, Inventory/Shipping/Receiving, Quality, and Safety.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining high-quality standards and on-time delivery.
- Manage tooling order projects, including timelines, daily/weekly status updates, and shift/overtime planning.
- Lead equipment build projects by determining supply chain requirements, validating make/buy strategies, managing project timelines, and overseeing machine run-off and acceptance.
- Monitor production performance and profitability metrics, including EBITDA, gross margin, headcount, inventory levels, tooling price catalog, and supplier management.
- Conduct weekly KPI reviews and implement action plans to address performance gaps.
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing operational performance, improvement initiatives, business development, challenges, and strategic recommendations for the parent company.
- Manage fixed costs and cash flow in line with corporate directives.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Parts & Service, IT, and other cross-functional teams.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop plant staff to maintain a high-performing team.
- Foster strong relationships with vendors, customers, and corporate leadership.
- Oversee IT systems and infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field.
- 5–10+ years of experience in manufacturing or machine shop operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Extensive experience with CNC machining and related technologies.
- Proven ability to manage plant operations and meet performance goals.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, ERP software, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of production planning, resource allocation, safety compliance, quality control, cost management, and operational best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-mix, small-series production environment.
