Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Direct Support Professional located in Lebanon, OH and surrounding areas. The Direct Support Professional will assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their day-to-day activities, providing personal care and support in achieving greater independence. Responsibilities include helping clients with daily living tasks, ensuring their emotional and physical well-being, fostering a safe and positive environment, and assisting with transportation to appointments or activities.

The role requires a commitment to maintaining the dignity and quality of life of the individuals served.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Human Services, particularly with developmental or intellectual disabilities
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills to provide compassionate and respectful care
  • Excellent Communication abilities to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members
  • Capacity to participate in Training to learn new skills and best practices in care delivery
  • A valid driver’s license, auto insurance and reliable transportation
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for improving the lives of others
  • High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience in care giving or a related field is preferred
