Child and Family Specialist/Community Based Skill Builder serving Warren and Clinton Counties

$41,600/year

As part of the recent merger of Best Point and Butler Behavioral Health, we are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Child and Family Specialist in Butler County.

Butler Behavioral Health has been providing high quality behavioral health services to our community since 1948. Together Butler Behavioral Health and Best Point will continue to value the unique characteristics, individual strengths and a holistic understanding of every client and their resources, to develop personalized treatment plans with focused objectives that result in “small steps” towards changing their lives.

The Wings program provides treatment of children and families presenting with complex mental health disorders who are at risk of residential placement. We offer non-traditional, community based services to empower the social supports and resources available to targeted youth. Our Wings program is in need of a Community Based Skill Builder to serve clients in Warren and Clinton Counties. The person in this role works to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Function as part of coordinated plan of service developed by supervisor and close collaboration with the youth’s family and service providers.
  • Provide service advocacy and education to enhance family functioning and stability
  • Complete high quality service documentation.
  • Meet productivity and service intensity standards
  • Ability to build, maintain and grow positive relationships and alliances with professional and non-professional providers of support services for children and families
  • Personal values consistent with the agency’s core values and wraparound philosophy of service
Minimum requirements
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Experience working with children and family treatment services
  • Skilled in time management, organizational and follow-up skills
  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record
