Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week in Neurocritical Care Unit (NCCU)

• Care for patients in 10-bed critical care unit serving as the only Neuro Critical Care Unit in Northern New England

• Manage primary stroke center patients including ischemic strokes requiring thrombectomy and TPA, hemorrhagic strokes with ventriculostomies and emergent evacuation

• Provide care for neurosurgery patients including tumor resections and brain/spine abscesses

• Handle neuro-medical conditions such as meningitis, encephalitis, and neuromuscular disorders

• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ICP monitoring

• Care for ventilated patients requiring pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications

• Assist with line insertion and maintenance for post-surgical patients

• Manage specialized equipment including ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVDs

• Monitor PA lines and interpret waveforms

• Critical care experience required with SICU/NCCU background preferred

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
