Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg float pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent experience, Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma background, and the ability to rotate between multiple units including ED and PACU.
Responsibilities- Float pool position covering multiple Med/Surg units including 1 East, 1 West, 2 West, 2&3 East, 3 West, 4 West, 5 West, ED, and PACU
- Travelers will work ED and PACU border assignments in addition to standard Med/Surg units
- Deceased Patient Coordinator (DPC) coverage may be required
- Day/night rotation schedule, 36 hours per week
- Frequent floating between units is expected
- Previous float pool experience is highly preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
- Active NH RN license or Compact RN license required; proof of state residency required for Compact license holders
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent, equivalent Med/Surg experience required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years required
- Experience with chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, and post-surgical lines, tubes, and drains required
- Proficiency with drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone required
- Experience with trachs and laryngectomies required
- Telemetry experience required
- Complex wound care experience required
- Central line care, maintenance, and blood draw experience required
- Two manager references required for consideration
