Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma setting, requiring advanced hemodynamic and neuro monitoring skills.
Responsibilities- Position in an 18-bed ICU within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure, and sepsis cases
- Rotating day and night shifts for a total of 36 hours per week
- Care involves advanced hemodynamic monitoring, intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, and ventilated patients
- Responsibilities include managing pressors, inotropes, vasoactive medications, and assisting with line insertion and maintenance
- Management of lines, tubes, drains for post-surgical patients, as well as ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVD
- Use and interpretation of PA lines and waveforms
- Responsibilities include high-acuity care for patients with complex critical needs
- Team environment with support for advanced procedures and post-surgical management
- Specific trauma and neuro care duties expected as part of daily assignments
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Active NH or compact RN license required and must remain valid for the entire assignment
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience required within the last 2 years
- Proficient in critical care skills including advanced hemodynamic and neuro monitoring
- No local candidates permitted; must live at least 75 miles away from the facility
