Overview
External candidates only. Dartmouth Hitchcock (DH) MRI Technologists work in an environment that challenges them with a fast pace and a wide variety of advanced imaging exams including Breast Imaging, Cardiac Imaging, Functional Brain Imaging, Multi-Parametric Prostate Imaging and many different MRA studies. This position is full time with a $20,000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus.
Effective summer 2024, the department expanded to 24/7 coverage which eliminated routine on-call coverage. We are a close group of energetic technologists who collaborate to provide a safe and comfortable environment for patients to receive exceptional-quality imaging. The MRI team performs advanced imaging in a rural setting within a large medical system. New team members benefit from training within the facility and experience performing advanced imaging.
Responsibilities- Reviews medical records for patient history and pertinent information. Reviews requisition with physician. Administers contrast material as appropriate and responds to hypersensitivity or allergic reactions. Evaluates images and sends to PACS.
- Scans and reviews data on disk. Performs multi-plane reconstructions, archive functions, and forwards selected data to the physician.
- Reviews studies for overall quality and addresses problems noted that were not part of the initial exam.
- Performs calibration checks on equipment. Conducts cleaning and minor maintenance. Logs problems and usage. Maintains wall units and Ambu cords. Orders and maintains supplies.
- Instructs medical staff and technologists in the unit s operations.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology with 1 year of experience required.
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
- Registered with the ARRT Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (RT - R) or Radiologic Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RT - MR) or Certified MRI Tech (MRI) through AMRIT.

Retirement:
Biweekly matching contribution of 50% on up to 4% of pay saved (maximum match of 2% of pay).
Paid Time Off:
Accrued paid time off per pay period, including six paid holidays. Shift Differentials: 10% evening, 20% night, and 15% weekend shift differentials when applicable.
Tuition Reimbursement:
Up to $3,000 per year. Dental and Vision benefits are included.
