Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training/experience.
- Experience: 5 years in Project Management, Construction Management, Project Engineering, or Commissioning Management with 8 years of commissioning/startup experience for electrical and/or mechanical systems. Experience leading projects exceeding $25MM in contract value strongly preferred. Relevant industry experience can vary from Mission Critical, Industrial, and Commercial.
- Travel: Up to 100%.
- Work Schedule: Typical work hours are between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday; work may be performed at any time to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes a positive Company Culture by fostering friendly and constructive employee relations.
- Develops the QAQC/Cx scope, schedule, and budget; reviews outgoing QAQC/Cx estimates with Estimating Department to ensure accuracy; monitors progress of each deliverable.
- Develops the QAQC/Cx safety plan; works with client and construction project manager to ensure startup and operational procedures comply with client specifications.
- Coordinates with the client and all affected parties on day‑to‑day startup and Cx activities; leads daily, weekly, and monthly meetings.
Manages all QAQC/Cx issue logs; coordinates with all responsible parties to mitigate and clear issues. - Coordinates with 3rd party testing/commissioning agencies to ensure proper coverage during commissioning/startup procedures.
- Partners with Human Resources to optimize recruiting and selection, employee relations, and other related topics for direct reports.
- Acts as coach and developer of managerial talent; selects and trains individuals.
- Creates a supportive environment that allows mistakes but not failure; motivates and instructs, providing constructive feedback.
