Overview
Direct Support Professional contracted with Achieve Behavior Alliance Plus, LLC provides individualized, person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Services may include Participant Assistance and Care (PAC), Respite, Day Habilitation - Individual Provider services, and PAC–Career Exploration and Placement. Contractors support individuals in building independence through assistance with daily living activities, skill development, and meaningful community involvement. This role is flexible, allows independent work, and may involve collaboration with a team when needed.
DSPs are contracted and not employees of Achieve;
Achieve does not provide insurance coverage for Contractors.

• Preferred Availability: evening hours and weekends
The following services may be provided:
- Participant Assistant Care Provider (PAC) – supports participants with daily living activities, independence, dignity, and safety under the supervision of the HCSP Coordinator.
- Respite Provider – offers temporary relief to primary caregivers by supervising participants in a safe, supportive environment; follows dietary, medication, and behavior support protocols and documents services rendered.
- Day Habilitation – Individual Provider – facilitates day programming focused on building social skills, independence, and community engagement; documents attendance, goals, and progress; ensures health and safety during outings.
- PAC–Career Exploration and Placement – assists participants in exploring employment interests and developing job readiness and workplace skills.
- RHS - Residential Habilitation Services – supports daily living skills, independence, health and safety, and community engagement per PCISP.
As a contractor, you may select clients and set your schedule; the coordinator will present clients within your service area for you to choose from. Depending on background and training, you may provide multiple service types to expand your skills and align with professional goals.
Responsibilities- Provide person-centered, direct care support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Assist with daily living activities including meal preparation, personal hygiene, mobility support, and independence-building tasks
- Follow each individual’s support plan to promote skill development, communication, and community participation
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment while protecting dignity and privacy
- Observe, document, and report changes in behavior, health, or well-being
- Complete accurate service documentation and session notes
- Communicate professionally with families, coordinators, and other providers
- Coordinate schedules directly with individuals and families
- Supervise and engage individuals during caregiver absences (service-specific)
- Facilitate social, recreational, and skill-building activities in home and community settings (service-specific)
- Support adults with meaningful daytime routines and community inclusion (service-specific)
- Assist individuals in exploring employment interests and developing job readiness and workplace skills (unique service-specific)
- Work independently while collaborating with a support team as needed
- Provide meaningful work that makes a positive impact
- Requirements: Must be 18 years of age or older; high school diploma or equivalent preferred, not required
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation to and from clients’ locations
- Active auto insurance with proper coverage
- Clean background check; must not be excluded from federal payments for providing healthcare services and consent to OIG list and SAM checks at start and monthly
- Ability to obtain required certifications at start of contract or monthly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and with a team
- Access to electronic devices with internet
