Your role as a Senior Accountant Key responsibilitiesAbout the job:
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the Finance functions at the site in conjunction with the Site Financial Controller and Site Manager. This position is part of the U.S. region finance team and reports to the Area Controller. This is an on-site role that will require occasional travel to other locations.
- Assists Site Financial Controller with the control cycle (AOP, monthly reporting, forecast).
- Assists with preparation of site reporting packages.
- Monitors the site's financial results and collaborates works with Operations leadership team members to identify improvement ideas.
- Maintains records in accordance with approved policies, state and federal laws and industry best practices.
- Assists with creating and enforcing strong internal controls.
- Addresses finance needs by deadlines.
- Works with outside service providers (Accounting, Tax, Benefits, etc.) to ensure auditing and compliance requirements are met.
- Adheres to monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting requirements.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management comments.
- Completes internal reporting and communication as required.
- Assists with timely and accurate completion of weekly cash flow projections.
- Assists in the annual budget completion with Finance and Operations.
- Supports the shared service center regarding recurring accounting transactions and closing process.
- Reviews accounting records for accuracy.
- Works with outside finance service providers related to local, regional and national compliance and deadlines.
- Processes weekly customer invoices and periodic customer rate changes.
- Ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Educational Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting and finance experience.
- Warehouse, supply chain or logistics industry experience preferred.
