Air Distribution Technologies, Inc. (ADTI) is seeking a Plant Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations at our ASC and Penn Barry facility in Lebanon, Indiana
. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing quality assurance activities across industrial processes, materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements.
The Plant Quality Engineer plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, strengthening process capability, and supporting cross‑functional teams—including Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Product Development—to uphold ADTI’s commitment to product quality and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do- Plan and conduct quality inspections, testing, analyses, and evaluations to ensure products, components, and processes meet required specifications.
- Review engineering and design documentation for compliance with internal quality standards, technical requirements, and product records.
- Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other data‑driven quality methodologies to monitor, analyze, and improve manufacturing processes.
- Evaluate purchased materials and components; provide input regarding supplier performance, acceptance criteria, corrective actions, and sourcing decisions.
- Identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using problem‑solving tools and structured methodologies.
- Communicate significant quality findings, trends, and recommendations to Lebanon plant leadership and cross‑functional partners.
- Prepare and present technical data, quality metrics, reports, and program updates to management and cross‑functional teams.
- Develop and support product quality plans for new product introductions and process improvement initiatives.
- Support and promote Lebanon plant safety initiatives, contributing to injury reduction and safe‑work‑practice compliance.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support overall plant quality objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in quality engineering or manufacturing quality roles.
- Strong working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods, including welding, fabrication, and machining.
- Experience with SPC and modern quality systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, control plans, root‑cause analysis).
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Windows‑based applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Proven ability to analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and make sound quality‑related decisions in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with in industrial, mechanical, or HVAC‑related manufacturing environments.
- Prior involvement with cross‑functional product development teams.
- Experience working directly with suppliers and managing supplier quality performance.
This position is based at our Lebanon, Indiana manufacturing facility
. The role includes regular work on the production floor with exposure to:
- Industrial machinery and equipment
- Moving mechanical parts
- Variable noise levels
- Fabrication, welding, and assembly processes
