Are you ideal for working as a Head Lifeguard at the Leawood Aquatic?

• Are you 17 years of age OR older?
• Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills?
• Are you reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment?
• Are you ready to make some extra money for the summer?
• Do you have experience working as a team?
• Do you have lifeguarding experience?
• 17 years of age and two years of experience?
• 18 years of age and one year of experience?

As the Head Lifeguard, you will work:

• Approximately 20 – 40 hours per week between 7 am and 10 pm.
• Weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The Pool Season runs from May to September.

A few of the things you will be doing include:

• Ensuring the required number of lifeguards are on duty by overseeing rotations and breaks and providing ongoing monitoring and coaching to maintain a safe facility throughout the day.
• Oversee and develop lifeguard staff.
• Assisting with patron emergencies or concerns, including administering first aid, performing rescue techniques, and utilizing equipment as needed. Contacting emergency medical personnel when necessary.
• Daily inspections of lifeguard and pool equipment to ensure the overall safety of the aquatic center.
• Maintaining records of all lifeguards' required in-service hours and skills practiced to ensure each lifeguard completes 4 hours per month.
