Come work for the Leawood Recreation Department! The City of Leawood, Kansas is looking for Head Lifeguards
. Are you ideal for working as a Head Lifeguard at the Leawood Aquatic?

• 17 years of age or older
• Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment
• Ready to make some extra money for the summer
• Experience working as a team
• Experience as a lifeguard
  • 17 years of age and two years of experience
  • 18 years of age and one year of experience

• Approximately 20–40 hours per week between 7 am and 10 pm
• Weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
• The pool season runs from May to September

• Ensure the required number of lifeguards are on duty by overseeing rotations and breaks and providing ongoing monitoring and coaching to maintain a safe facility throughout the day
• Oversee and develop lifeguard staff
• Assist with patron emergencies or concerns, including administering first aid, performing rescue techniques, and utilizing equipment as needed. Contact emergency medical personnel when necessary
• Daily inspections of lifeguard and pool equipment to ensure the overall safety of the aquatic center
• Maintain records of all lifeguards' required in-service hours and skills practiced to ensure each lifeguard completes 4 hours per month

Rate of Pay: $17.00/hour
