Do you have what it takes to work at one of Kansas City’s most sought-after communities? Are you looking for a summer job? Come work for the Leawood Recreation Department! THE CITY OF LEAWOOD, KANSAS is looking for Lifeguards
. Are you ideal for working as a Lifeguard at the Leawood Aquatic?

• Maintaining focused attention and monitoring the safety of patrons within assigned guarding areas.
• Performing rescues during emergencies using appropriate techniques and equipment and providing first aid if needed.
• Overseeing and maintaining the overall safety of the aquatic center daily.
• Fulfilling the required in-service training hours monthly.

• Are you 15 years of age or older?
• Possess a strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills?
• Are you reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment?
• Are you ready to make some extra money for the summer?
• Do you have swimming experience?
• Do you love being in the water?
• No lifeguard experience, not a problem!
• You will receive the necessary certification and experience at the Leawood Aquatic Center. As part of the certification process, you will be required to swim 100 yards, tread water, and submerge to 14 feet deep.

• Approximately 20 – 40 hours per week between 7 am and 10 pm.
• Weekdays, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The Pool Season runs from May to September.
