Kansas City Orthopaedic Institute is a single specialty orthopedic hospital. We are physician owned, with on-site x-ray and MRI. We have been serving the Kansas City area for 25 years. Our Radiology department supports the hospital, practices, and urgent care. Our technicians provide quality diagnostic x-rays in the clinic, surgery and urgent care departments as directed by the physicians.

We’re seeking full-time and PRN Radiologic Technologists who are looking for a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
New Grads are welcome and encouraged to apply!

  • Full-time

    Schedule:

    Mondays-Fridays, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform high-quality x-rays according to established protocols and physician orders with attention to detail as well as adherence to strict safety procedures
  • Strong prioritization and computer skills
  • Escort, prepare and position patient for radiographic procedures as needed
  • Follow guidelines for radiation protection using variety of shielding materials
  • Participate in staff meetings as required
  • Follow established procedures for patient care and safety
  • Proficiently uses EMR
  • Obtain and document pregnancy status
  • Assure efficient operation of workflow of the department by performing other duties as assigned. Monitor and maintain adequate inventory of supplies and material
  • BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
  • Practice safe work habits
  • Review images and make necessary adjustments for quality and accuracy
  • Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile work environment
  • Other duties as necessary

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology program
  • Registered ARRT
