Revenue Accountant

Vaco is hiring for a Revenue Accountant opportunity in Leadwood KS, Contract, Onsite, Salary: 60,000/yr.

This is a contract Revenue Accountant I position with a strong focus on reconciliations and field partnership. This role requires daily communication with field and operations teams, making it ideal for someone who enjoys collaboration and relationship-building rather than a strictly back‑office accounting role.

The position manages high volumes of recurring transactional data, primarily reconciling credit card and POS transactions and responding to field deposit inquiries.

• Approximately 2+ years of revenue accounting or reconciliation experience
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage recurring, high‑volume data sets
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and large workloads in a fast‑paced environment
• Comfortable partnering directly with field/operations teams and building strong working relationships
• Accounting degree (or currently pursuing one) preferred
• If no degree, several years of relevant accounting experience required
• High performer who thrives in a small, collaborative team environment

The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for reconciling point‑of‑sale (POS) deposits and cash/receivables to ensure revenue is recorded completely and accurately each period. This role works closely with field leadership to resolve deposit questions, reconcile store deposits, provide reporting insights, and support training on reporting tools.

This position partners cross‑functionally with Accounting, Operations, and Treasury and is well‑suited for a proactive, detail‑oriented professional who values process improvement and effective communication.

• Reconcile daily, periodic, quarterly, and annual sales and cash receipts from multiple sources, including store deposits
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue recording
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve reconciling items, transaction errors, discrepancies, and field inquiries in a timely manner
• Compile and distribute daily and periodic cash verification reports
• Review reports to identify stores with cash loss issues or reporting irregularities
• Recommend and support process improvements to accommodate evolving business needs
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks and additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Experience with revenue reconciliations; familiarity with ERP systems (Workday experience preferred but not required)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Ability to prioritize and manage shifting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both financial and non‑financial stakeholders
• High level of initiative, self‑motivation, and attention to detail
