Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse

Overview

We are seeking a Stepdown Unit Registered Nurse
, also referred to as our Cardiac Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) or CCU RN. The Cardiac Nurse plays a critical role in attending to patients with heart conditions, cardiac issues, and associated illnesses, provide tailored care to enhance recovery and enhance quality of life.

Bonus Options: Up to a $20,000 (Paid out as stipends every 90 days)

Hours: 12hr options – Self Schedule

Location: Saint John Hospital - Leavenworth, KS

If you are a licensed Registered Nurse (RN), we re prepared to provide training to suitable candidates for this role. Newly graduated RNs are encouraged to apply.
No experience needed, entry-level

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Monitor patients  cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect any changes or abnormalities, heart attacks, or other cardiac conditions
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management medications
• Perform assessments of patients  cardiac status, including physical assessments, review medical histories, and evaluate symptoms
• Provide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices
• React promptly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, cardiac arrests, or respiratory distress, necessitating immediate implementation of emergency procedures, administration of CPR, and aiding in defibrillation and other crucial life-saving measures

Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

• Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State
• BCLS upon hire and maintain current
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred
• One year as a Staff RN in an Acute Care Hospital preferred
• CCRN preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
