City of Leavenworth Kansas is hiring for a Human Resources Director to manage our Human Resources Office and be part of the City’s Management Team. Our ideal candidate is an organized team player that supports our most valuable asset — our employees.
Director will manage all aspects of human resources: hiring, new employee onboarding, performance evaluations, benefits, payroll actions and state/federal compliance. Needs to understand and support the unique nature of local government operations including 24-hour police and fire scheduling, on-call activities for public works emergencies and indoor/outdoor pools staffed by dozens of part-time lifeguards. Supervises the HR Deputy Director and HR Specialist.
Will help us assess our current processes and identify modern best practices. Be the leader of a team that hires great employees to serve our community. Anticipated hiring range is $88,950 to $111,200 with consideration for highly experienced HR professionals.
