Overview

Our client is currently seeking a School Psychologist around Leavenworth, KS!

Job Title: School Psychologist

Location: Leavenworth, Kansas

Hours: Monday-Friday, school time hours

Position Summary

The School Psychologist provides comprehensive psychological services in accordance with district policies and state and federal regulations. Core responsibilities include conducting evaluations for special education eligibility, delivering counseling services, completing functional behavior assessments, supporting academic and behavioral interventions, participating in crisis response, preparing reports, managing Medicaid billing, and facilitating meetings to ensure full compliance with all applicable guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct psycho educational evaluations in alignment with state and federal requirements.
  • Prepare detailed written reports, including evaluations, legal documentation, behavior plans, and Medicaid billing.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement interventions and individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Provide direct and indirect academic and behavioral support to students.
  • Coordinate with community agencies, including medical, social service, and mental health providers, to support appropriate interventions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete billing tasks in accordance with district policies.
  • Supervise assigned personnel, which may include paraprofessionals, interns, or practicum students.
  • Apply current research, theory, and relevant case law to guide decision-making and program development.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Completion of a NASP- or APA-approved School Psychology program.
  • Active Kansas school psychologist license.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and sound professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing psychological services in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures and special education compliance requirements.
