Spectrum is pleased to reach out to all licensed Clinical Psychologists in Fort Leavenworth, KS and surrounding areas. We are seeking a candidate that has completed their degree and internship with an APA accredited school.
Qualifications- Education:
Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D or Psy.
D) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA accredited psychology program. - Internship: must have completed an APA approved internship. No exceptions.
- Experience:
Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a licensed clinical psychologist. - Certifications:
BLS required. - License:
Current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice Psychology in any state. - Security Clearance:
Must have a clear background in order to pass the security clearance. - Familiar with organization structure and operation methods of Air Force.
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Effectively use correct grammar and spelling in all written communications.
This position is based inside an Army Correctional (prison) environment. The role will go through a paid physical conditioning course prior to starting. The job responsibilities include establishing, developing, and maintaining effective treatment and rehabilitation for long‑term inmates, including violent offender treatment, sexual offender programs, substance abuse, and general mental health. The psychologist will collect and analyze data to evaluate program effectiveness, coordinate with other DoD correctional community members, present to service representatives, and collaborate with federal agencies.
Duties- 5-9 patients per day case load.
- Practice within the guidelines of state licensing board, APA ethical principles and code of conduct, and MTF privileges.
- Conduct psychological evaluations using clinical interviews, testing, and collateral sources.
- Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to DSM.
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; assist in rehabilitation of patients.
Monday through Thursday 0700‑1700 with 1 hour paid lunch break – 40 hours per week.
