Student Services Specialist Fort Leavenworth

Position Overview

Barton Community College, Fort Leavenworth Campus, seeks applicants for a full-time, replacement Student Services Specialist.

• High School Diploma or GED;
  Associates in Business Technology or related field preferred.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty, and staff; work with students of diverse ages and backgrounds.
• Ability to operate independently/multitask; problem solving is a must.
• Experienced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office; effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

• Serve as the first point of contact with all students entering the Fort Leavenworth office.
• Assist students/potential students with information about programs/degrees offered and general information about the college and classes.
• Assist with all office duties including processing student enrollment and transcripts.
• Work with multiple operating systems to assist students and staff.
• Answer the phone and e-mail, and perform other traditional office duties.
• (Military Knowledge preferred).
• Require willingness to travel to Fort Riley to pick up supplies or attend training, make weekly trips to the post office, and conduct other Barton-related business as needed.
