Sub​/Commercial Manager

Technical Staffing Resources (TSR) are the in‑house agency and master vendor for K  who are a leading global engineering, construction, and services company. K  supports the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents, delivering challenging assignments on some of the world’s largest and most complex projects.

Pre‑

Contract:

Support the client in an advisory role; manage and/or support the EPC tender process from tender release through to bid evaluation and final award recommendation; manage timelines, bid submissions, stakeholder reviews and commercial clarifications.

Post‑

Contract:

On behalf of the client, provide commercial expertise/hands‑on contract administration and oversight of the successful EPC bidder including but not limited to: the development of master documents to support processes and procedures; regulatory compliance, risk analysis, change administration, claims administration, early warnings, notices, records, correspondence and commercial close‑out.

• Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, Law, Finance, Management, or Quantity Surveying along with an appropriate professional qualification (RICS, CICES, CIPS, CIOB preferred).

• Minimum 15 years’ experience in a similar role.
• A sound knowledge of different contracting strategies.
• Experience managing project commercial issues in the oil and gas, petrochemical and renewable energy and energy transition contracting environments.
• Expertise in negotiating contract terms for services, construction, engineering, and equipment installation.
• Strong understanding of contracting principles, legal terms and conditions.
• Broad knowledge of construction industry and EPC contract language.
• Experience with RFP/RFQ processes for heavy industrial projects.
• Ability to formulate multiple compensation structures (cost reimbursable, lump sum, unit price).
• Skilled in work change and claims evaluation and negotiation.
• Experience in creating and/or managing tender packages including project‑specific terms and conditions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
