Development Engineer – Residential Regeneration

A leading residential developer known for delivering high-quality, design-led and sustainable communities is looking to appoint a Development Engineer to support the delivery of complex housing and RC-frame apartment schemes.

This business specialises in transforming challenging brownfield and regeneration sites into vibrant, long-term communities. Projects range from traditional housing through to high-rise RC-frame developments and mixed-use regeneration schemes.

Reporting to the Lead Engineer / Head of Engineering, you’ll manage engineering and infrastructure elements from land feasibility through to construction.

• Managing S38, S278 and Minor Works highway approvals
• Leading S104 drainage adoptions and SuDS coordination
• Liaising with LLFAs, water companies and highway authorities
• Coordinating RC-frame structural detailing
• Managing site investigations, topo surveys & utilities strategies
• Supporting levels strategies, remediation and ground engineering
• Engineering budgeting, viability input & cost tracking
• Chairing multi-disciplinary design meetings

You’ll play a key role in ensuring schemes are buildable, compliant, cost-effective and technically robust
.

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or similar)
• Residential development / house building / consultancy background
• Strong knowledge of UK planning & adoption processes
• Confident with AutoCAD & Microsoft Office
• Understanding of RC-frame principles
• Strong communicator with a proactive, solutions‑led mindset
