RoleSenior Support Worker - Children s Residential Home
Location: Tanglewood, Leatherhead
Salary: £34,320.00 plus £60 per sleep (as per business need)
About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Support Worker to join our team at Tanglewood, supporting children and young people aged 8-17 with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. This is a rewarding but demanding role where you ll play a vital part in creating a safe, nurturing, and family-style environment.
You will lead shifts, support colleagues, and ensure children receive consistent care within a trauma-informed, therapeutic framework

- Acting as a role model, creating a positive and consistent culture in the home.
- Promoting safeguarding and ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards.
- Experience working with children with SEMH, trauma, or behavioural needs.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards).
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and ability to manage challenging behaviours.
- Emotional resilience, patience, and a genuine commitment to children s wellbeing.
- Leadership skills to guide and inspire junior colleagues.
- £34,320.00 base salary per year.
- Sleep-in allowance of £60 per night according to business need.
