Cloud - Full-Stack Software Engineer

4473 Cloud (a subsidiary of Silencer Shop) is the firearms industry's leading ATF‑approved digital storage solution, helping Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs) nationwide digitize and securely store ATF Form 4473 transaction records. We’re replacing paper‑based compliance workflows with modern, secure software—streamlining operations for gun dealers, distributors, and retailers while ensuring regulatory compliance.

We’re a small, fast‑moving team with a startup mentality. You’ll have real ownership, ship features that matter, and directly impact how thousands of FFLs handle compliance.

We’re looking for a self‑directed full‑stack engineer to be the lead individual contributor for the 4473 Cloud platform. You’ll own development across the stack and work independently most of the time, with architectural guidance, code reviews, and product support available when needed. This is ownership—not abandonment.

This is a true full‑stack role—you’ll move between .NET backend APIs and React frontends depending on what needs to ship.

• Designing and building secure, scalable backend APIs and services
• Developing and maintaining modern web applications used by customers and internal teams
• Improving performance, reliability, and maintainability as the platform scales
• Integrating with third‑party services and internal systems
• Contributing to architectural decisions, refactoring efforts, and technical direction

The work is a mix of building new features, extending existing functionality, and modernizing/refactoring code as we scale.

Must‑haves:

• Strong proficiency in .NET/C# and Entity Framework Core
• Deep experience with React (hooks, state management, component architecture)
• Solid understanding of API design and integrating third‑party services
• Ability to work autonomously—you figure things out, ask smart questions, and drive work forward without constant direction
• Comfort working in a fast‑paced, startup environment where priorities shift and you wear multiple hats

Nice‑to‑haves:

• Experience using AI tools in your development workflow (Git Hub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)—we embrace AI‑assisted development and want someone who knows how to leverage these tools effectively
• Electron or desktop application development
• Experience with subscription billing platforms (Chargebee, Stripe)
• Auth0 or identity/authentication system experience
• Familiarity with compliance‑heavy or document‑centric workflows
• Type Script (we’re progressively adopting it)
• Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Blob Storage)
