Walgreens Shift Lead – responsible for opening and closing the store, managing cash, ensuring a delightful customer experience, and supporting operations and merchandising.
Responsibilities- Open and close the store in the absence of store management, including system start-ups, cash handling, and ensuring floor and stock rooms are ready for the business day.
- Complete product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provide change as requested to cash registers.
- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers, offering assistance, resolving issues, and demonstrating Walgreens service traits.
- Assist with and coach team members on warehouse and vendor ordering processes, including backdoor openings for vendor deliveries.
- Register all sales on the assigned cash register, including scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
- Assist manager or assistant manager with order exceptions, reverse logistics, displays, promotional sets, and sale merchandise resets.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and ensure adherence to the Outdate program.
- Handle basic department pricing, daily price changes, and signage updates.
- Assist with bookkeeping activities, cash reports, ledgers, and bill payments.
- Support exterior and interior maintenance, request repairs, and ensure store appearance stays clean and orderly.
- Separate food items, ensure proper placement, and practice first-in, first-out restocking.
- Assist at the pharmacy out window when requested.
- Ensure compliance with state and local regulations for regulated products.
- Perform bag checks of team members before leaving the store.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures; foster respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
- Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Knowledge of store inventory control.
- Employment consideration for qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
- Obtains and maintains a valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
$17.00/hr – $20.00/hr
