Lifestyle Manager at First Service Residential
Location & PayHouston, TX – $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
Job OverviewThe Lifestyle Manager is responsible for developing and implementing fun‑filled, lifestyle‑enriching programs at designated on‑site communities to contribute to whole‑person wellness. This includes social and community involvement, participatory and spectator events, creative and educational coursework, lecture series, travel clubs, book reviews, fitness classes, and more. The role builds and fosters professional relationships with residents and custom‑designs programs to encourage participation, while supporting the on‑site management office with administrative initiatives.
Responsibilities- Manage community center and create/update community center policies and procedures.
- Work with and respond to resident and developer goals related to community center and community involvement/engagement.
- Plan, promote, and participate in the annual calendar of activities, classes, clubs, and ongoing programs that meet the interests of community members of varying ages and ability levels, and stimulate and improve quality of life.
- Generate communication opportunities through the website, social media, newsletters, and other channels, creating articles and posts of interest to residents.
- Manage annual activities budget, review variances, and maintain accurate records of expenditure for each event, submitting receipts in a timely and organized manner.
- Collaborate with appropriate committees and volunteers to set up and tear down events, maintaining order, flow, and safety.
- Develop and maintain an effective homeowner relations plan, implementing initiatives and managing relationships to ensure a high level of service, including timely resolution of concerns and coordination of special services.
- Respond to phone calls and correspondence within 24 hours.
- Negotiate and contract with caterers, DJs, porter services, and other vendors, and build partnerships with local businesses and organizations.
- Design, build, and execute sponsorship programs for local businesses, creating invitations, announcements, and postings to market community programs and recruit volunteers.
- Recognize and appreciate committee members and volunteers formally and informally.
- Serve as a local information resource and reference for homeowners, attending committee, staff, and other meetings as required.
- Work flexible hours, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Be self‑motivated, able to work effectively with a committee of homeowners, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Education/Training
:
College degree preferred but not required; high school diploma or equivalency required.
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities
:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in program development, including designing and implementing vocational, emotional, social, physical, and intellectual programs. Background in recreation or social event planning is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and public speaking), strong organizational and time‑management skills, and customer‑service orientation.
Computer Literacy
:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Constant Contact, Square Space, and Canva.
