$7,500 Hiring Bonus!
Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and complete daily tasks of a large plant ammonia refrigeration, boiler, water, and air systems.
Responsibilities- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and complete daily tasks of a large plant ammonia system including routine inspections, valve rebuilding, daily water treatment, valve replacement, and overhauls on equipment such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, chillers, freezing tunnels, ice‑cream freezers, and other associated equipment. Also perform equipment‑specific and large system pump‑downs.
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and complete daily tasks of a large plant high‑pressure steam system including routine inspections, valve rebuilding, daily water treatment, valve replacement, overhauls on boilers, DA tanks, steam traps, condensate tanks, pumps, and other associated equipment. Also perform equipment‑specific and large system pump‑downs.
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and complete daily tasks of a large plant compressed air system including routine inspections, valve rebuilding, daily water treatment, valve replacement, overhauls on compressors, air supply tanks, air dryers, and other associated equipment. Also perform equipment‑specific and large system pump‑downs.
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and complete daily tasks of a large plant water system including routine inspections, valve rebuilding, valve replacement, overhauls on softeners, charcoal filters, RO machines, and other associated equipment. Also perform equipment‑specific and large system pump‑downs.
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and complete preventive maintenance on a large plant fire suppression system following all applicable codes.
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and complete preventive maintenance on hydraulic elevators following all applicable codes.
- Operate, troubleshoot, repair, and complete preventive maintenance on liquid nitrogen cooling system.
Starting hourly rate of $36.01 for Tech 1, progressing to $41.72/hr at Tech 5. Night shift receives an additional $1.50/hr.
Approximate shift start time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Normal shift length: 10–12 hours.
Qualifications- One year of WDI ice‑cream plant refrigeration experience (previous relevant experience preferred).
- Ability to work safely and follow standard operating procedures, Mechanical Integrity, and PSM programs.
- Basic knowledge of 3‑phase, 480 V electrical components.
- Basic knowledge of electrical components such as solenoids, motors, circuit boards, and PLCs.
