Out of the Woods Custom Cabinetry is looking for a Sander / Seal Sander to join our cabinet shop in Layton, Utah
. This role is responsible for sanding wood products to a smooth finish and applying sanding sealer while maintaining the high quality standards our customers expect.
This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work with your hands, and comfort performing repetitive tasks in a production environment.
Pay: $15 - $18/hr
Schedule: Mon - Thurs 6a - 3:30p & Fri 6a - 11a

- Sand wooden cabinet components to achieve a smooth, consistent finish
- Apply sanding sealer to wood products
- Follow all quality and safety procedures, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS) guidelines
- Inspect products to ensure they meet company quality standards
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Maintain and properly use sanding equipment and tools
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns to management immediately
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to carefully handle and move wood products while maintaining quality
- Ability to read and communicate in English
- Basic math skills
- Experience sanding wood products preferred
- Experience in cabinetry, woodworking, construction, or manufacturing environments preferred
- Experience operating power tools and shop equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable with a strong attendance record
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment
- Frequent repetitive hand and wrist movements
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in an environment with dust and shop noise
- Required use of PPE such as closed-toe shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection
Work is performed in a cabinet manufacturing shop where employees regularly handle wood materials, operate sanding equipment, and follow safety procedures to ensure quality production.
