Overview
Under the direction of the Materials Manager, the Materials Assistant performs a variety of planning, procuring, and sometimes distribution of supplies, equipment and services for the surgical centers. Performs value analysis activities as necessary. Assists A/P with reconciliation of invoices. Serves as a liaison between surgery center Materials Managers and corporate Materials Manager.
Responsibilities- Assist with planning, procuring, and distribution of supplies, equipment and services for the surgical centers as directed.
- Perform value analysis activities as necessary.
- Assist Accounts Payable with reconciliation of invoices.
- Serve as liaison between surgery center Materials Managers and corporate Materials Manager.
- Equipment Management: maintain inventory, preventive maintenance, purchasing, and care of medical equipment at the facility.
