Responsibilities

In this position you will exercise supervisory and position management responsibilities over subordinate employees. Directing work activities through subordinates with responsibility for maintaining current knowledge and guiding employees to provide advice, accountability, and expertise on a continuous basis. Ability to design and prepare in-depth analyses supporting budget preparation, execution reporting, re‑programming actions and account closeout processes are major requirements for this position.

Your ability to accomplish business case and economic analyses is key to providing strategic business solutions to decision makers within the Comptroller Squadron and throughout the 75th Air Base Wing.

Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain & maintain a Security clearance
  • This is a Financial Management Level (1, 2, or
    3) Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, Section 1599d. Incumbent shall comply with the requirements of this certification program.
  • Financial Management Statement
  • The employee may be required to work overtime on an emergency basis.
  • The employee may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the policies, principles, concepts, guidance, procedures, techniques, and methodologies pertaining to budget formulation and financial management and the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of Department of War and Air Force organizations pertaining to budget formulation and financial management to provide guidance to senior leaders and other units.
  • Knowledge of the Department of War Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution process and its products, terminology, and guidance documents, including Department of War budget and financial management regulations, Office of Manpower and Budget Circulars, and Congressional legislation.
  • Knowledge of personnel safety, security and management, Equal Employment Opportunity regulations, procedures and practices, and Merit System principles and intent.
  • Knowledge of revolving funds and annual and multiple-year appropriations; their characteristics, uses, applications, and data structures.
  • Skills in utilizing computerized budget systems.
