About The Role
Come join the Layton Hills Retail Team, located at 1601 N. Hill Field Rd in Layton, UT! The Person al Banker will process various transactions, handle customer requests and provide excellent customer service that meets or exceeds service expectations, while adhering to all banking rules, regulations, policies, procedures, laws, mandates, bank values, and purpose. The Person al Banker will act as a back‑up proficient in branch operations, audit requirements, open various new accounts, loans, and educate customers of products to gain their banking relationship.
DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Satisfactorily perform all Teller 1 - 3 duties and responsibilities, and provide backup to tellers upon request.
- Must be able to perform a wide variety of teller transactions; including but not limited to cashing checks, processing withdrawals and deposits, accepting loan and credit card payments, change orders, and issuance of checks
- Open basic new accounts (Personal and small Business), process necessary information and educate the customers as to services/products available, online banking and E‑statements, etc.
- Conduct non‑transactional requests within assigned parameters, such as customer inquiries, maintenance, Net‑Teller, debit card requests, order checks, opening/closing accounts, and maintaining Safe Deposit Boxes.
- Assist with a wide variety of customer banking needs such as managing outgoing domestic wires, solve fraud issues, etc.
- Assist customers with opening CD's and educate customers as to penalties, earnings, etc.
- Set up auto transfers and sign up customers for ACH transfers.
- Utilize every customer contact as an opportunity to advise customer about additional services or programs that might benefit them.
- Have a solid understanding of bank products and services, and be able to accurately present bank products and services to current or potential customers
- Balance accurately and maintain cash limits of cash drawer daily
- Professionally answer phones within a timely manner, greeting all customers, learning their names, and resolving customer issues, providing relevant assistance, and escalating as needed

- Responsible for complying with all applicable banking laws, regulations, company policies, procedures, management directives, security, and operational procedures
- Responsible for keeping all customer, employee, and bank information private and confidential
- Responsible for being vigilant and watching for fraud that could adversely affect the bank and bank customers.
- Responsible for adherence to Bank Security Policy, and for reporting security risks to management
- Regular and predictable attendance in order to accomplish, among other things, in‑person contact with customers
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of relevant experience in banking
First Community Bank of Utah will conduct a credit and background screening as a part of the pre‑hire process.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS- Incumbents are required to maintain their registration active and current with the National Mortgage Licensing System throughout their employment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
