Responsibilities
  • Framing: Expertly frame walls, roofs, and floors according to project specifications and blueprints, using a variety of tools and techniques.
  • Structural Installation: Install and secure structural components, including beams, columns, and supports, ensuring stability and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Formwork: Construct formwork for concrete structures, following established guidelines and ensuring accuracy in measurements and placement.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and transport lumber, plywood, and other construction materials to and within the construction site.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with other construction professionals, including project managers, architects, and subcontractors, to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from construction drawings and blueprints to determine specifications and requirements for rough carpentry work.
  • Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Tool Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Rough Carpenter with a strong portfolio showcasing framing and structural work.
  • Skills: Proficient in rough carpentry techniques, including framing and formwork. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints. Knowledge of construction materials and their applications. Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools used in rough carpentry.
  • Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Safety Awareness: Strong commitment to safety protocols with a keen awareness of potential hazards.
