Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oklahoma or compact state

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS

• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)

• At least 1 year of experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or high-acuity healthcare settings

• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and rapid decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress emergency situations
ER Nurse Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and focused assessments for patients with emergent, urgent, or non-urgent conditions

• Triage patients using evidence-based protocols to determine acuity and initiate appropriate emergency care

• Deliver rapid intervention and stabilization for medical, surgical, trauma, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies

• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital policy and provider orders

• Operate and monitor medical equipment including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices

• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, EMS, and other healthcare professionals

• Coordinate patient care, diagnostic testing, re-evaluation, disposition planning, and patient education

• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record

• Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols

• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety guidelines, and hospital standards

• Support a culture of patient-centered care, empathy, and service excellence in a high-volume Emergency Department
