As a Med Surg RN, you’ll be a pivotal member of the bedside team, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across a broad spectrum of medical‑surgical conditions. Your key responsibilities will include comprehensive patient assessments, accurate medication administration, IV therapy and fluid management, monitoring of vital signs and telemetry where applicable, wound and drain care, post-surgical recovery support, early recognition of clinical deterioration, and rapid escalation when needed.
You’ll coordinate discharge planning and patient education, empowering patients and families to participate actively in recovery and prevention strategies. Documentation will be precise and timely, with coordination across physicians, case managers, pharmacists, and ancillary staff to ensure seamless transitions.
