Automation Developer – Tinker AFB, Oklahoma (Secret)

Position is open to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers.

We are looking for an Automation Developer to join our team at Tinker Air Force Base. The role is on‑site, full‑time, and requires a Secret clearance. Up to 10% Continental US travel is required.

• Provide expertise for coding and execution of automation test scripts.
• Analyze user stories, create automated integration, and oversee system acceptance test cases for a User Experience (UX) Data Integration Platform.
• Design, document and develop automation tools using Git, Python, Ansible, Docker, and Jenkins.
• Build a multi‑tenant, multi‑platform infrastructure to provide lab IT enclaves.
• Develop scalable architectures using API management, microservices, PaaS, and container orchestration.
• Identify, analyze, and optimize cloud operations processes across Network, Platform, Database, and Applications teams.
• Write process requirements documents and decompose each requirement into user stories.
• Test and deploy Dev Ops technologies such as Git, Python, Ansible, Docker, Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes, and Jenkins.
• Assist in bug verification and communicate status to the development team.
• Prepare log files/reports and analyze data for issue resolution and network performance metrics.
• Provide clear, concise updates to management regarding customer or automation issues.
• Draft standard operating procedures and train operations engineers on automation tools.

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• 10+ years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
• DoD 8140 compliance (e.g., Security+).
• ITIL V4 familiarity and understanding.
• Experience with networking concepts, logging and monitoring of hybrid‑cloud workloads.
• Understanding of application security patterns including web application security, service mesh, and mobile security strategies.
• Experience architecting CI/CD/CT and Dev Ops pipelines.
• Working knowledge of at least one configuration management tool:
  Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience writing effective Power Shell scripts.
• Experience with enterprise vendors such as Infoblox, Equinix, Net App, AWS, and Cisco.
• Experience working with a Scrum Master, Daily Scrum meetings, sprints, and written deliverables.
• Strong critical thinking, complex problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven experience with Agile, sprints, and Dev Ops concepts.
