Radiology - Ultrasound​/Sonographer

The Sonographer will provide ultrasound services, timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. This role includes performing tasks as outlined in the Imaging Services Department's Policy and Procedures while assisting in assigned administrative tasks.

• Verify patient and procedural information.
• Prepare patients for exams and educate patients and family members.
• Perform ultrasound examinations and monitor patients' conditions.
• Communicate and transmit reports to physicians.
• Organize data for radiologist review.
• Stock, prepare, and clean exam rooms.
• Transport patients as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety measures and government regulations.
• Review computer-generated information to determine image quality for diagnostic interpretation.
• Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images.

• Licensure/Certification:
  • Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
• Education:
  
  Graduated from an approved Joint Review Committee of Radiologic Technology or Sonography program.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in ultrasound.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English is required.

This is a Monday to Friday position consisting of 8-hour day shifts.
