The main job of a Physical Therapy Assistant (Home Health) is to help with physical therapy activities under the guidance of a registered Physical Therapist. The Assistant will work with patients using exercises and treatment methods that match the patients' health needs and follow a plan approved by the therapist. It’s important for the Assistant to know what tasks they can and cannot do.

The Assistant will also help keep the therapy area clean and organized. They will write down notes about their daily work and any information needed when patients finish their treatment. The patients they work with can be very young (like babies), children, teenagers, adults, or older people.

• Assist with physical therapy activities under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement treatment plans by guiding patients through prescribed exercises and modalities consistent with patient needs.
• Document notes about daily work and patient progress as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy area.
• Understand and adhere to tasks you are permitted to perform as an assistant and identify any limits.

• You must have a permanent license to work as a Physical Therapy Assistant in Oklahoma, or a temporary permit while you wait for your permanent license.
• You need BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - Required
