Position: Electrician – Mechanical & Building Automation Systems (BAS)

Job Description

The Electrician will be responsible for performing skilled electrical work in support of both Building Automation Systems (BAS) and mechanical installation projects. This position plays a key role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across federal, commercial, and industrial job sites. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of completing projects from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Basic Skills & Knowledge
  • Cut, bend, thread, and install electrical conduit (½ , ¾ , 1 ) to meet project specifications.
  • Pull electrical wiring through conduit systems and perform accurate terminations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics for proper installation.
  • Terminate electrical panels, set fixtures, outlets, switches, and related devices.
  • Install and assist with electrical integration for BAS controls and mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure all work complies with NEC codes and company safety standards.
  • Maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good working condition.
  • Complete assigned tasks in coordination with project teams, ensuring project deadlines are met.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience (3–5 years preferred) as an Electrician in commercial, industrial, or controls environments.
  • Experience with BAS systems or mechanical equipment wiring preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and execute work from blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to complete projects independently.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
  • OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus.
