Cook Quick Service

Overview

Our busy quick service restaurant is looking for a cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced atmosphere. We need someone to prepare food stations, cook a large volume of food, and ensure that all food safety and storage rules are followed. Our ideal applicant has prior food industry experience, preferably in fast food, quick service, or fast casual restaurants, as well as a willingness to learn.

• Prepare meals in accordance with the instructions printed on food order tickets or delivered verbally by staff
• Keep all workstations, counters, cooking equipment, and refrigerators clean and sanitary according to health and safety rules
• Finish each shift by sweeping the floor, mopping, cleaning countertops, and wiping down any other surfaces that were used
• Guarantee that quality food is supplied by following specified storage and waste control requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products
• Stock ingredients needed for food items by washing, cutting, dicing, or slicing them as needed

• Candidates must be hardworking, detail-oriented, and have a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with customers and other team members
• Candidates need a strong understanding of compliance with kitchen safety and food storage requirements
• Previous experience working in fast food or quick service restaurant is preferred
• Must have excellent time-management skills and be able to prioritize and multitask

Compensation: $12 - $12.50 hourly
