Position OverviewThe Operating Room Nurse Manager provides daily oversight of surgical services, supervises nursing and clinical support staff, and ensures operational excellence across the OR. This leader partners closely with surgeons and executive leadership to support quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and program growth.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the operating room
- Lead, mentor, and develop RN circulators, scrub staff, and clinical support team members
- Ensure adherence to infection prevention, sterilization, and patient safety standards
- Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements
- Coordinate case scheduling and optimize patient flow and room utilization
- Monitor quality metrics and drive performance improvement initiatives
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Support budget oversight, equipment planning, and supply management
- 3 to 5 years of operating room nursing experience required
- Prior leadership, charge nurse, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Experience in ambulatory surgery center or outpatient surgical setting highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of perioperative standards, infection control, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills
