Overview
Our client is looking for a Field Service Technician for a 3-month contract in Lawrenceville, GA 30045. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future. Contract Duration: 3 months
Required Skills & Experience- 1+ years of field dispatch repair and hands-on hardware experience (printers, PCs, POS, etc.), break-fix, use of power tools (e.g., drills), and familiarity with the ticketing system.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, printers, networking, cable management/installation, and common restaurant technologies.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Possess strong communication skills, attention to detail, and strong technical ability.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize issues, and maintain accurate records.
- Willing to utilize a ladder (10 ft. reach).
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record required (This is a driving position - reimbursed accordingly).
- Active driver's license.

- Run break/fix calls for all dispatch customers.
- Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures, using established procedures.
- Perform service, repair, and/or installation of computer products including system hardware and software, MFD printers, wide format printers, PCs, laptops, printers, single and multi-processor servers, and wired/wireless networking.
- Perform account management and maintenance for various applications and systems (e.g., create or modify user accounts and permissions, and perform password resets).
- Implement basic cable management: organize cables using trays, raceways, or ties to prevent damage and improve airflow.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) through effective use of knowledge management.
- Escalate complex or high-priority problems that cannot be solved to the appropriate support groups for resolution (L2 Tech, Manager, etc.).
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware (printers, computers, peripherals) and software.
- Provide technical assistance to customers while on-site.
- Perform routine maintenance on laser and wide-format printers to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain personal quality of workmanship and take necessary precautions to prevent customer service disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
