Overview

Position: Northside Gwinnett Pelvic Health Physical Therapist
Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia
Experience: Physical Therapist with experience evaluating and treating pelvic health conditions.
Employment Type: Full-Time

Innovative Therapy Concepts (ITC) is a Physical Therapist owned and operated therapy management organization founded by Joe Sapp, PT in 2006. ITC began partnering with Northside Gwinnett in 2013 to provide therapy services throughout the Northside Gwinnett system. ITC is seeking a Physical Therapist with a passion for pelvic health and patient recovery. You will work with pelvic health conditions including urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pre/post-natal care, prostatectomy, and more.

Two years of experience in pelvic health is recommended.

We Are Seeking
  • Experienced Physical Therapist with a strong drive to learn and grow; enhance clinical skills within an experienced team
  • Candidate with a strong emphasis on patient care, quality, outcomes, and efficiency
  • Graduate from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy Program
  • Current Pelvic Rehab certification (CAPP-Pelvic, CAP-OB, WCS, or PRPC)
  • Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Georgia
  • Responsible individual with a solid work ethic
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Current AHA BLS certification
  • Assess and examine patients with varying diagnoses according to PT scope of practice
  • Treat patients within the PT scope of practice
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and associates regarding PT interventions, safety, resources and outcomes
  • Recommend appropriate adaptive equipment for ambulation and functional mobility
  • Coordinate and lead groups
  • Attend and participate in care planning meetings as assigned
  • Communicate and collaborate with all customers and interdisciplinary team members
  • Maintain gym area and equipment
  • Contribute to profits and revenues including marketing and productivity
  • Participate in budget development and cost saving efforts
  • Serve on performance improvement teams
  • Participate in community services
  • Supervise treatment and documentation of the physical therapy assistant
  • Delegate treatment tasks to PTAs and aides in accordance with PT state practice guidelines
  • Provide care and documentation in accordance with regulatory, legal, and reimbursement guidelines
  • Advance own growth through in services and continuing education
  • Comply with established hospital and departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintain CPR certification
  • Complete assignments in a timely and cost-efficient manner
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Physical requirements:

    ability to operate equipment; may exert up to 20 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently; sedentary work with movement
  • Mental requirements: ability to learn complex principles; independent judgment; document and explain procedures
  • Environmental demands: pleasant, minimal hazards
  • Interpersonal communication: ability to convey information and give directions
  • Language ability: reading, writing, speaking English with clear communication
  • Intelligence/Verbal/Numeric/Form/Spatial aptitude: appropriate cognitive and analytical skills
  • Motor coordination and manual dexterity for handling equipment
  • Color discrimination; interpersonal temperament; physical communication
