A leading provider of patient-centered advanced, minimally invasive treatments, specializing in addressing acute and chronic pain conditions of the neck, back, and joints through state-of-the-art, non-surgical techniques is seeking an MRI Technologist.

As the MRI Technologist
, you will perform high-quality MRI exams to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role includes preparing patients, operating and maintaining MRI equipment, adhering to safety and regulatory standards, and documenting imaging results accurately. The technologist collaborates with radiologists and clinical staff to deliver efficient, compassionate care and stays current with best practices and professional standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI equipment independently to produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.

  • Perform MRI examinations primarily focused on musculoskeletal and spinal imaging, with the ability to adapt techniques as needed for optimal image quality.

  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures by explaining the exam process, addressing questions, and ensuring patient understanding and cooperation.

  • Screen patients thoroughly for contraindications (e.g., implants, devices, medical history) to ensure compliance with MRI safety standards.

  • Monitor patients throughout the examination, responding appropriately to discomfort, anxiety, or claustrophobia while maintaining image quality and safety.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients before, during, and after exams to promote comfort, confidence, and accurate imaging outcomes.

  • Ensure proper patient positioning and protocol selection to achieve diagnostic-quality images in a timely manner.

  • Accurately verify exam orders and patient information within PACS and EMR systems to ensure correct documentation and reporting.

  • Upload, archive, and transmit imaging studies through PACS, ensuring images and related data are complete and accessible to ordering providers.

  • Maintain MRI equipment and work areas in compliance with safety regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.

  • Collaborate with radiologists, referring providers, and clinical staff to support efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.

  • Adhere to all state, federal, and facility regulations, including MRI safety zones and patient confidentiality requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Current ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and in good standing

  • Current CPR certification (BLS required)

  • Completion of an accredited MRI Technology or Radiologic Technology program

  • Prior experience operating MRI equipment in a clinical setting

  • Experience with spine and joint imaging preferred

  • Strong knowledge of MRI safety standards, contraindications, and patient screening procedures

  • Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, including those experiencing anxiety or claustrophobia

  • Proficiency with PACS and electronic medical record (EMR) systems; experience with eClinical

    Works preferred

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning as needed
