Surgical Technician PRN

Overview

East Atlanta Eye Surgery Center is a AAAHC accredited Ophthalmology surgical center. Our purpose is to provide the highest level of eye care possible to each patient enhancing individual lifestyles and vision while allowing our patients the option to avoid the additional cost and time associated with a trip to the hospital. We have a team of highly skilled and compassionate surgeon's providing services with leading-edge technology in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed
• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location
• Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly
• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients
• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director
• Performing other duties as required
• 3 years of ophthalmlogy surgical scrub experience
• Maintains current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-services
• Ability to work in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease under a moderate level of noise
• Must be able to understand and follow instruction with speed and accuracy
• Must be able to organize and set priority for work to be done
• Possesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skills
