CT Technologist

Day Shift (8H)

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating CT Equipment
    : CT Technologists use computerized tomography machines to capture detailed images of patients' internal organs and tissues. They must be proficient in operating and maintaining this specialized equipment.
  • Patient Preparation and Positioning
    :
    Before scans, CT Technologists prepare patients by explaining the procedure, ensuring they remove any objects that could interfere with the scan, and positioning them correctly to obtain the best images.
  • Administering Contrast Agents
    :
    They may administer contrast materials orally or intravenously to enhance the visibility of internal structures during imaging.
  • Monitoring Patient Safety
    :
    Throughout the scanning process, CT Technologists monitor patients for any adverse reactions to contrast agents and ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Image Evaluation
    :
    After capturing images, they review and analyze the scans for quality and accuracy, ensuring that they meet diagnostic standards.
  • Collaboration with Healthcare Team
    : CT Technologists work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide necessary documentation.
  • Maintaining Equipment and Records
    :
    They are responsible for routine maintenance of CT equipment, keeping it clean and in good working order, and maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Adhering to Safety Protocols
    :
    Following radiation safety protocols is crucial to minimize exposure for both patients and staff.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • Graduate from an accredited school for CT Tech.

Experience

  • Prefer a minimum of two (2) years of experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
  • AART-CT certification
