This part‑time faculty position is semester‑based and will report directly to the Department Chair. Courses may be delivered face‑to‑face, online, hybrid, or blended, and may be taught in the fall, spring, and/or summer semesters. Classes are offered in the morning, afternoon and evening, including weekends.
Responsibilities- Develop course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the requirements of the upper‑division program and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
- Review, evaluate and recommend student learning materials.
- Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
- Submit required paperwork related to instruction in a timely and accurate manner.
- Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
- Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
- 1‑year college‑level teaching experience.
- Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching.
