Position: Physics: Part-Time Faculty - AY 26-27

Physics:
Part‑Time Faculty (AY 26‑27) – Georgia Gwinnett College (Temporary, Part‑Time, Job ).

Responsibilities
  • Develop course curricula, including syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with program requirements and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
  • Review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals.
  • Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
  • Qualifications
    • Minimum master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
    • Terminal degree in the teaching discipline.
    • At least 1 year of college‑level teaching.
    • Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching.
    Knowledge

    Strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement and service to the college and community. GGC values innovative teaching, advising and mentoring (advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty).

    Additional Requirements

    Eligibility to work in the United States, a background investigation including a criminal background check, and possibly a pre‑employment drug test. Offers are contingent upon completion of required investigations and compliance with university and federal laws.
